Illinois gun ban

I have been reading about Illinois making a decision to ban guns today. A lot of local citizens commenting saying they are taking up arms and forming militias across the state. Even surrounding states calling it the new Lexington and saying they're getting involved if it passes. Anyone hear about it?

I believe the thought of forming militias is to sue the state stating that the law is unconstitutional as it will then take away the argument that the 2nd amendment was meant to be applied to formally organized militias only.

I would definitely leave a state that banned guns, though.

If you own a firearm, you are already part of the militia. There is no need to organize.
