Late fee in Orleans parish for an inspection was $5 the last time I had to pay it. If there's no fee in the state law, it may be a parish-dependent thing.

Scrape it off, no sticker is cheaper than expired sticker. Plus if you get it nice and clean you can claim you just had the windshield replaced, because you did, wink wink. And the glass guy can't put the old sticker on the new w/s cause that is illegal or something. When you do get a new one, get the 2yr sticker, cuts the whole bs situation in half.
That might work were you live the OP is in Baton Rogue. No 2 year stickers up here.
And in Denham Springs your fine is bigger if you don't have a MVI.

Waiting for the new insurance card to come in before doing the inspection thing. Son took the insurance card with him overseas, lol.
It looks like you're in Baton Rouge. So just have a valid Registration for it and a valid Insurance card and your valid LA DL. Make sure it will pass inspection no check engine light on. Take it to one of the stations in Ascension, East Baton Rouge, Iberville, Livingston, and West Baton Rouge. The cost is $18
