After looking into Maness, I support his positions. However, and I hate to sound like big party GOP guy because I'm not, what are his realistic chances of winning against Landrieu in a runoff? I think Cassidy has a realistic chance of beating her this time around, but like others have said, he's not quite perfect. I'd *much* rather him than Landrieu, though.

Hey, I won't go all Ron Paul fanboy on you, but if you have a candidate that you can say that about you should do the right thing and back them. Cassidy is slightly better than Landrieu, but Maness is a lot better.

I'm not going to let the Rino's pick my candidate for me.

At this point Rob Maness is an unknown. If he continues to work at it he may be a force in November. On the other hand Cassidy is getting all the attention. May not be a great choice but infinately better than Miss Piggy. And don't be fooled by what they say she'll do for Louisiana. It is almost a even bet that the Senate will turn over to the Republician wing of the Gestapo. If that happens Miss Piggy will be sent back to the trough she has been eating out of for the last umpteen years. So putting her back in office is a loser for Louisiana.

Miss Piggy has to go if Louisiana has any chance of getting help from the USG.

This. Either would be better than Mary. Let's all stay focused on the primary goal, and that's removing Mary from the senate. It must be our #1 goal this November!!! She's never been there for the conservative minded citizens of La. Never forget!!!

Our #1 goal should be to vote to put the true conservative in office. I don't believe Cassidy is much better than Mary just because he's running with an R behind his name. Vote for the conservative and let the chips fall where they will. If the Colonel can't make the runoff, then so be it. But it's essential to vote for who you feel will be the best candidate, not who has the better chance of beating Mary - that's an automatic loser for Louisiana and the country.

    Exactly right.
McCain, and Romney proved this on a national level. They are so concerned with Moderates... well, conservatives are a voting block too. Many sat out the last couple of POTUS elections because both choices were liberals.

In my opinion to often people vote on who they think can win instead of ideals and values. That is why we are in the sad state. I am voting on who I think will represent my values. For me it is Maness. Career politicians have failed the people they represent. Just my one vote but it is mine to cast.
