Is it too much?! AK project pictures

I made this the other day.

Started out trying the cerakote "gold"...turned into ridiculousness after I tested crayola VIOLET markers out on the wood.

The pistol grip is an old bakelite. Need to find a wooden one and make it like the rest

I just don't have the urge to have any of my stuff themed after a sports team, especially if that teams colors involve gold (not that I don't root for the home teams); it's just tacky to me. Then again, I'm not a diehard fan either. To each their own. It's your stuff and you do with it what you damn well please, nothing wrong with that at all. That doesn't mean it will be appealing to my eyes but, it's not my stuff.

I agree...while I went to LSU and I watch the games I'm not diehard. I wanted the gun gold to copy some of the plated AK'S but after I did it the red wood looked Ronald McDonald....not good. Maybe black plastic will work.

It was all for fun. And I'm sure the AK still fires.
