Is there any Police Agency that still requires revolvers?

Was at the St. John Court House today and both of the bailiffs had revolvers. They probably only clear leather to qualify. Almost all the road deputies carry semi autos, a few even carry 1911s.
All are machines built by man and will fail.
I wouldn't have a problem carrying a 625 with a few moon clips at the ready. I've learned a few things from those Miculek guys.
