Is this a good deal??

A co-worker wants to sell me a Bushmaster A2 16" with adjustable stock. It has a couple of hundred rounds through it and comes with 1 mag, case, sling, and 50-100 rds. $700

I wanted to build my next one for my son, but this seems like a good deal.

Thoughts?

New ones sell for 800-850 plus tax (or shipping and FFL transfer)
Say 850-875 and up after all fees
So 700 is a good deal for 1 with 100rds though it

Bushys are decent rifles
