I would not give 1 red cent to Krazy Kajun Cookware in St. Amant ! I'm not saying the products or all that bad, but I preffer not to do buisness with the owner. There are plenty of similar products from other distributers that are better made, who appreciate their clientel and are not so arrogant.

All I can say is that he was very nice to me and accomadated me on very short notice. His rolling burner setup is exactly what I wanted and works very well. He also helped me out alot with my rice to water ratios for regular rice. All in all I had a great experience with him as well as my brother and numerous other friends of mine.

When I cook jambalaya for 4 to 6 of us I use a 12 quart Lodge cast iron dutch oven.

    +1

I have two 8qt dutch ovens and taught my son how to make a jambalaya by letting him do everything in one pot while I showed him in the other. Both jambalayas came out perfectly and we invited some friends & family over! He's only 12, but I think I've lost one of my dutch ovens! :eek3: The boy has been going outside to cook breakfast for the whole family in the thing lately! :D He's gone dutch oven crazy, I tell you!!!

It has the cast iron Banjo / Hurricane tpye burner in it. Mine is rated at 90K BTU. More heat than I will ever need for my 10 gal pot.

    Thanks!
I'm building from scratch, probably in Aluminum.
When Complete, I'll have a 25 gallon set up.
Let me know when we can get together and make some sausage.

I know your schedule is tight.

Before we moved here I was not a big fan of rice dishes but after a few years now I love jambalaya and red beans and rice. I would like to get a rig and learn how to make real jambalaya but there is only my wife, daughter and myself.
Well , the wife and I are only about 25 minutes away . I'm just saying ......;)
