Field Precision Rifle Match 1/10/15 at Palo Alto

26 shooters showed to the January 2015 600Y FPR match at Palo Alto. The morning started off at 32 degrees for our first match of 2015. The cold weather compounded with fishtailing winds made it very challenging match. Special thanks to Rick and Vaughan for helping call the line. It was greatly appreciated. Thanks also go out to Alton for bringing the heater along to help everyone warm a bit between strings.

We had 8 shooters shooting FPR this month. Mickey Brinkman took 1nd place shooting a 587-20X. Rick Stewart takes the 2nd place spot shooting a 570-12X.

13 shooters showed to shoot the match as an F Class practice match. William Wittman was on fire… he was the shooter that came out on top of the pile shooting a 594-36X that earned him 1st place. Excellent shooting Sir. Wes Cummings, driving in from Florida, pounded out a 586-29X that secured the 2nd place finish. Great shooting guys!

With 5 Prone shooters this month, we recognized them as a separate class and awarded a 1st and 2nd. Gary Henry was the man to beat. Gary shot and impressive 593-23X that earned him the 1st place medal. Warren Freeman, shooting a 587-24X, secured the 2nd place spot.

Hope that everyone enjoyed the match and see everyone next month.
