    IPSC/USPSA

    International Practical Shooting Confederation

    United States Practical Shooting Association.

The short answer is that IPSC is the international organization that USPSA is part of.

    Heres some video

IDPA International Defensive Pistol Association, IDPA guys say it's more tactical than IPSC/USPSA.

There's a big SASS match in Amite this weekend and a IPSC/USPSA match at Nick's range on Sunday.

Here are some that have been left out, sorry no links.

PPC (sanctioned matches open to LEO only)

Bullseye: 25 and 50 yd one hand only (I am currently trying to learn this
game) Very Humbling to say the least!

Metallic Silhouette (Used to hold this match at Acsenion SO range)

Steel Challenge matches: These are held at Southern Shooting Center, Lafourche Speed Shooters is the host club.

ICORE: Revolver only. If you like revolvers this is a really neat match,
Also held at Southern Shooting Center in Thib.

Feel free to pm or e-mail me if you need more info on any of the matches. I'll be more than happy to help any way I can.
