I know I read somewhere that theaters don't make much money on the ticket sales, they have to make it up in concessions. That $4 a coke gives you the privledge of having a show to see that new movie at. I really appreciate all those young guys trying to impress their dates paying $4 a coke! It keeps me from feeling guilty (yeah, right...) when my wife sneaks in a few drinks and candy bars. Now if I could just get her to buy a purse big enough to hold a few poboys!

Here is something yall may not know.

I know the Gen. Manager at Cinemark in Lake Charles.

Here is what he said which made me quit griping about their refreshment prices:

They make ZERO profit off the ticket sales. There only profit comes from their sales at the refreshment counter.

So, I happily pay their prices because that's the only way we can keep a movie theater in our area.

On a similar note... A guy I work with is part owner of a Chevron gas station. He says they only make a few cents per gallon on fuels, and that their real profits come from candy and drinks. My brother in law is a distributor for Miller and he says that gas stations that sell beer only make a few cents per unit as well. These businesses rely on high volumes, not high margins to make profits. They are just like the oil companies.

I wish Hollywood would go financially bankrupt! Those phony liberals are already morally bankrupt.

Just entertain me you circus clowns! Keep your pathetic political ideaology to yourselves.

I am still waiting for Alec Baldwin to make good on his promise to leave the country.

wow 20 years? do you remember the last movie you saw on the big screen?

I do! A movie by the name of The Happening with Diana Ross and the Supreme's some time in the late 60's in Baton Roach at the Tiger Drive in on airline hwy.

May be close to 40 years for me. Proud of that fact too! It was on a screen like this!
