I know a lot of options are based off of personal preference, but who makes the best King Cake? I have to order 5 for a conference.

It needs to be in the Baton Rouge or New Orleans area. I live in Prairieville but work in New Orleans.

You're already in Prairieville, go check Ralph's on Hwy 44@Germany. Calandro's or Ambrosia in BR also have good "fancy" king cakes, like Turtle. But for a standard cake, Ralph's is it... none of that colored sugar crap that gets everywhere

Add another vote for Randazzos! Its one block east of Severn (N Hullen?), and about a block south of W Esplanade.

Last year I went the weekend before Mardi Gras... never again. 3 block long line!

Randazzo's isn't as good as everyone says it is. Add the fact that you have to throw elbows to get one and it's lost all appeal to me.

Berry Town Produce in Ponchatoula has a pretty good King Cake.

Another vote for Ralph's supermarket on hwy 44 (not 42) at Germany road (hwy 931). Strawberry, blueberry and pecan with cream cheese is freakin awesome.
