There is damascus and there is damascus. Some looks really nice and some just looks busy.

The only Lloyd damascus I have's pattern (Alabama damascus) is so faint you really have to look to see it.

How does it stand up with daily use?

I carry this at all times.
Serrated blade is a must: it cuts through everything the first time and every time.

Warning....picture heavy. Here are the pics of my Damascus Blades. Zoom in to see patterns better. These pretty much close the "must have" in my knife collection. The bottom two are a matching set, consecutive serial numbers for my grandson and I.uploadfromtaptalk1396204318522.jpguploadfromtaptalk1396204336594.jpguploadfromtaptalk1396204354398.jpguploadfromtaptalk1396204376285.jpguploadfromtaptalk1396204396752.jpg

Found a reason: apparently this knife is illegal to carry in LA... Guess I'll leave it with my dad next visit. At least I have some good knives to choose from by going back thru this thread!

I really want one of the Schrade Autos made by GEC:

traded down to this, wanted to free up some resources for a rail and optic for my ak

very nice knife, the tolerances difference between the sebenza25 and this are apparent, this knife feels slightly smoother, can flick out and seems to want to do that which is nice but i can still deploy it slow and deliberate.

im used to the thick spine of the seb, this knife is leaner.

its a very nice knife and the main differences i see and feel are the tolerances. i think crk is tough to beat on that one and is likely a huge part of the costs.
