Has anyone else tried a Kronus scope? I was looking at a Millet DMS when Nick (of Nick's shooting range) suggested I give this one a try. The picture doesn't begin to do justice to the clarity of this scope. Its a 1.5-5x. I had it set on 2.5x when I took the picture. The fence is about 30 feet away. For now, until I get something worthy, its on my marlin camp carbine, though I haven't sighted it in yet. I like the clarity, I like the reticle, and I really liked the price (about a third of what the millet would have been!).

I can't tell a lot from the picture.

The recticle seems cool. I like the fine duplexes for all around use.

I have read that a good judge of clarity is to read some small printed text. Print repeating lines of incrimentally smaller letters on the same sheet. Also low light is where the difference will show. If you have never "used" a scope at night you might be suprised at what it can do. It is best not to have it on the rifle for peeking around your neighborhood.

I eyeballed one with a lit recticle (at night) & it was pretty nice. You could adjust it so it would work against you if too bright.

A group of us were comparing a few scopes & some seem to have a better range of eye relief but that may have bee just in our heads.
