Ok, finally got a KSG on the way (FYI: $1000 on GB +35 s/h).
I run T-1's on my AR's and various scopes on my rifles but somehow an Eotec seems like it might be a better choice for a shotgun. Since I never have used a SG with optics, what are some opinions of folks who have (or should I stick with pop-ups)?
    Thanks, Ed

What reason do you have for putting an optic on a shotgun anyway...it's a shotgun. Trying to look cool?

I'm not big on having guns to look cool, or zombie stuff, but damn...

To the OP, I don't have any experience with optics on a shotgun, but I'd assume I would prefer the eotech. Seems like the dot and ring would be easier to stay on and the larger area to see through would be nice.

Ed, the EO tech will probably be your best bet if you are dead set on optics for it. You don't have to worry about eye relief at all with them. An Aimpoint or Trijicon reflex may also be another option.

If you haven't tried an EOtech at all yet, give me a call.

I think you will find the weight of the KSG makes it hard to get used to.

I suggest getting your handling down and see what your sight picture is before spending a lot on shotgun glass.

You may find that you don't need it.

I tend to agree - thanks for sharing the pic - cool.

Tanks, Chad - I have shot some EOTechs at the range on other weapons. Haven't seen you there in a while. Remodeling is ongoing but we're open regular hours for now......

    Sound advise indeed. Thanks.

Ended up with YHM flip-ups and an Aimpoint T-1 (b/c I run them on my other "assault weapons" and had an extra one on hand). I tend to agree that the EOtech would work well if the flip-ups aren't enough. I'm not actually operating it yet due to rehab from surgery but my son and grandson are my ginny pigs. Thanks for the input.
