I sent that same pic/news article to a friend who was in there at the time (she's also the owners daughter).

She couldn't ID the gun but from the full video I saw it looked just like a Hi-Point.

Sold 2 glock 43s to a guy today thay was actually there when **** hit the fan. He said it happened so fast he couldnt believe it. They had to wait there for about 2 hours after for the investigation procedure etc etc. He also said that the owner was outside smoking and apparently he was the only other one equipped with a firearm at the time. He said he walked back in and after everything happened he was holding a long barrel revolver waiting for them perps to come back all pissed off.
