Mary Landrieu and David Vitter both voted no on the Senate bailout vote.
    The vote was:

    74 - yes

    25 - no

If anyone wants to see the bill that passed go to this link.

At around page 290 you start to get into all the add ons. The bill is 450 pages long and does including Ike relief items which start on page 394. I think should be in a bill on its own.

Haven't you been following the news!?! Its not a bailout, its a rescue plan!

I am pleasantly surprised at Landrieu's vote though.

yeah, I heard Vitter on WJBO this afternoon saying he would vote no and they also said Landrieu would vote no. Just a matter of stopping it in the house now. I'm willing to take the hit on my investments for the RIGHT thing to happen. Congress that started the problem should not be the one given the power to try and "fix" it.

This is something I just heard. The bill Hank Paulson originally wanted was 4 pages long. The next bill, the House bill was around 100 pages. This bill, the Senate bill was 450 pages.
Anybody see a problem here.
