I agree with thperez1972. Yes, he stopped the threat, but I'm not sure that this should be a model for other officers to follow.

To wit, he broke several of the fundamental rules of gun safety: he did not always keep it pointed in a safe direction. He most definitely did not know what was beyond his target. And shooting at a vehicle could easily cause ricochet rounds that could still be traveling at fatal velocities.

I know that situations like that require split-second decision making in less-than-optimal conditions, but it does suggest that there's an opportunity here to discuss protocol and training.

I believe every LEO cop car should have one of these mounted on the hood and remote controlled inside the vehicle

This will cut out most of these wanna be thug runners who shoot a cop cars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spy Hunter in real life. I'm in.

(For those too young to get the reference, Spy Hunter was a video game from the 80's.)

The first one is loud but the rounds after that seem to be a little quieter.

Most likely the camera mic compensating. The gun volume didn’t change.

One thing that helped him was rolling that window down. Still loud but may have saved him from busted eardrums.

Also, kudos on his one handed driving. His hands were never at 10 & 2.

I was not talking about the cops video I was stating that in a tight area with no ear protection the first round is loud but the follow up shots seem much quieter.
