Moving to Shreveport next week to take a new job.

Took my niece and brother out to the club for one last shoot before packing. Am going to miss this club, near Kiowa Colorado. During the week I usually had this place to myself.

    Not going to miss snow.

High power range. The 6"dia steel plates we're shooting are at the 600yd mark, just below the horizon. Elevation above sea level is 6400'.

Thanks, looking forward to it. Looks like I'll have to get my 'hearing preservation devices' licensed there, but from what I've read, it's not much of a chore.

When you get settled, check out Long Range Alley, south of Shreveport.
Unless you are attending a match you have to be a member or guest of a member to shoot, but they have 200, 500 & 1000 yard ranges besides the pistol ranges!

You will miss the club. I just left CO also and am moving into a house Pearl River this weekend. I too very much miss my club, also had a 600 yard range. I hear there is one up in your area that has a long range. I have not been able to find one in SE LA yet though. Someone mentioned in Prairieville, but I can't find info. the worst hing is getting used to the heat. It was technically hotter in Co, but it sure did not FEEL that way with all of the humidity here

Edit: I see the post above tells you about the club near you. Good luck.
