not for me, my wife has a hard time loading her magazines. her finger don't like being pinched by the feed lips.

They also come in colors if that's your thing.

Uplula loads all my mags, works on Kel Tec PF 9 to big 45s. Keep it with my bag always. Helps sore fingers if you don't have a lot of mags preloaded.
