So, when the new law takes effect in August, do you suppose we might see any reduction in the transfer fees charged?
Since there will be only the fed form to deal with I'm hoping so! My local guy has been charging $100 per item (bought 3 at a whack last time - ouch! :wtc: )
    Even dropping $25 would help, that's a box of .45! ( or 6 rounds of .22 )

Yeah I doubt it. You have to remember that the dealer will have to hold onto your item for possibly a year. That's a long time to store something for someone to only make 75-100 dollars. Not counting the licenses and fees you have to pay to even deal with NFA.

Most dealers in other states charge 50 bucks for nfa transfers. Louisiana dealers or some of the few who charged more which made a little sense because of the extra paperwork and wait times. Hopefully someone will lower the price but im doubting it.

Your local guy is beating you up, me thinks. I drive all the way down to see TDH and the gas doesn't even come up to that much and we live on opposite ends of the state.
