Looked like a "tech 9" thugs love guns that they talk about in rap songs etc. I wonder what happened to the girl he was dragging off? This man deserves the chair! He isn't human, zero remorse, just went to finish the job, but luckily couldn't

I have it on good authority from an unnamed NOPD officer that he will be charged with Agg. Battery. 5 years max if convicted. He was probably going to kidnap, rape and kill the girl and then shot the good Samaritan then tried to execute him at point blank twice.

NOLA has to keep their violent crime rates down so as not to scare off the tourists see?

But who was abduction, attempted kidnapping, and attempted murder?

does anyone know what pistol was he had? Seemed to charge on the left side. Seemed unreliable thank god.

Tec-9 is what it looked like to me. Cheap junk, lucky for Mr Gold. Had the firearm functioned properly, this would have been an execution. Maybe he was using cheap ammo on top of this.

Does anyone know what happened to the female? Was she able to get away or did she end up getting kidnapped/raped? Was she intoxicated or drugged?

Hopefully the media and citizens will demand more be done than charging him with battery. I want to see this guy get life at the least.

    Fetch the rope

    ^that would work even better...

He will be caught soon enough, not through a reward though, and not in New Orleans. He will be ratted out by someone looking to trade info for leniency on a dope charge, etc. Willing to bet he tries to relocate as to St. John Parish, BR, or Houston; the Atlanta door has been shut. Not hard for them to figure who just arrived from New Orleans, "laying low at Boo's crib for a while." We should start a pool, any takers?

I don't understand why it's not attempted murder. Shut the guy point blank and tried to finish the job! Wtf!? That's why there's so many damn criminals on the street, Bc they are literally getting away with murder!

How about a discussion about the proper course of action to take if you witness this. Same location and people involved because being in one of the most dangerous cities in the country is part of the equation.

it's called crime stats game - underclass a crime so your stats do not look bad. the rank on judged on their stats on crime type instead of using the real classification to look for trends and plan.

They identified the worthless excuse for a human, his name is Euric Cain. He is still on the run. The woman only had her purse stolen after the shots were fired, but I believe he had other things in mind before Gold intervened and ruined his plans. This mother fncker deserves to be strung up by a rope in the french quarter.

I doubt this will occur on this particular case. Sure they can do this on other attempted murders, but this has been video recorded and broadcast by the media. This guy won't get off on battery.

Just a couple blocks away from the hotel I stayed at this weekend.

    Be prepared.
    Be careful.
    Be aware.

Sent via telegraph with the same fingers I use to sip whiskey.

Good, he should be put down like a rabid animal. I hope they don't let him plea down, he needs to be charged with all the charges listed and they need to push to make them all stick.
