Well, she only "was" a slave if she stopped voting for democrats just because she is black. Her brother must be doing his slaving for a non-government privately owned company. And I hope you told her that you didn't vote for the pretender because he was a dumbass; not a black dumbass!
I have an older black man working for me and he admits that this generation of blacks is heading to permanent culture ruin; but he will not speak out against them publicly. Oh, I almost forgot; he still thinks the pretender is doing a good job!
Lincoln had two political agendas, 1) Change our fundamental form of government so that the power sits with the federal government rather than the states. 2) He wanted to expand the country by instituting corporate welfare and subsidizing the railroads. He used the abolitionist movement as a means to an end. The south was a predominantly agrarian society with far fewer people than the north. Therefore they did not have as many Representatives in congress. This lead to a bulk of the tax revenues being spent in the north to improve their infrastructure. The south was providing a large share of those tax revenues through the tariffs being levied on foreign goods being brought in, due to the lack of manufacturing in the south as well as the taxes being paid on the exported cotton. If you want to know what the real cause of the "War of Northern Aggression" was then just follow the money. As stated above Lincoln couldn't have cared less about slavery. He succeeded in changing our form of government when they forced the fourteenth amendment down the throats of the south.
If remember correctly it was 2yrs into the war when Lincoln gave the declaration only for slaves in the south hoping that the slaves would rise up against their owners as they did in Haiti against the French and so help the Northern aggressors win the fight
