Long range shooting ranges anywhere??

Looking for a range with longer distances than just 100 yards. Any in south LA?

The only one I am aware of in the Baton Rouge part of south Louisiana is Palo Alto, but it is a membership club.

Only 1000 yard in LA is Long Range, south of Shreveport.

You could also drive to Pascagoula Shooting Range. It's the last exit on I-10 before the MS/AL state line.

Fort Polk has 500 yard range. It is near the south end of Toledo Bend near Leesville.

How about a 1 mile range? There's one in Austin, TX where my brother lives that has a 1 mile target. That's a heck of a long way.

If I remember correctly it's a private club. Austin rifle club or Austin shooters. There's another one that goes out to 1000 yards.

I want to try Eagle Creek outdoor range next time I'm in Austin. About a 30 min drive from my brother's house. Very nice covered shooting area and they have night shooting capabilities. One price to shoot all day. Can leave and return on same day.
