10/22s are good guns, uncle has one and he's been satisfied with it. I would also recommend a marlin model 60. I have one and it's a reliable accurate gun.

I'm gonna head to Jim's and Academy tomorrow to see who's got what and for what price. If they have high cap mags then that's a plus. Not sure if I want a scope or not.

i would get the Ruger 10/22, its a great little rifle, and there's tons of aftermarket support for it. Everything's readily available for it.

if you were going bolt action, i'd get a Savage Mark II. very accurate and cost less than a CZ. mags are cheaper for it as well.

Love my 10-22 but it is very addicting to accessorize. You can even get up to a 50 round drum for them. I have mine in a Tapco and it is very fun to go plinking with. My project is below. They are never finished.

    10/22 is my choice (I have 3).
Whether you keep them basic or trick them out, they shoot and shoot and are a lot of fun.

About .04/round if you buy in bulk, or get better quality.

I love all 3 of mine:
    Compact Carbine
Stainless on Syntheic with laser scope
    Anniversary edition blue on wood.
