I've got a project waiting in the wings. Picked up an orphan m94 stock in a trade deal, one that Bubba got his hands on. It's been cut down to just ahead of the barrel band, and I want to try my hand at splicing to bring it to correct length.

Photos below show the color to try and match replacement wood. I think it is walnut, the wood in the cut is as dark as the rest of the stock. It's a shame Bubba cut it - the stock & buttplate match, and it still has the m94 trajectory plate and leather sling mount. I'll probably move the plate to another m94/14 if I come across one with four tiny holes in the stock.

Maybe Bubba wanted an even "shorter" m38 look-a-like?

Anyway, if anyone has a broken, front half of an m96 or m38 stock, as long as there is enough length for trial & error (knowing me, maybe a couple T&Es ;)), let me know.

    Thanks!
