My favorite is Soranos right outside of campus on Highland.

Superior Grill on Government by BRCC, all around good, great margaritas.

La Caretta on the corner of Burbank and Bluebonnet. I am not too big of a fan, but most people I know swear by them, there strong point is tequalia content in the frozen margaritas.

One reason I said South Baton Rouge is they will be leaving from LSU to go eat Mexican food. No drinkers in the party.
    Thanks.

Coyotes blues is just horrible.. Just take the interstate a few miles down the road to Denham and stop at Papis and you won't regret it.

Interesting, I travel through Denham Springs on the way home from LSU. I have seen the sign, is it on Range Avenue close to I 12?

Yup, it's right off range about two buildings down from the advanced auto parts store.

Papis has a stuffed avocado that is NOT on menu
Try the chicken or shrimp. Fantastic

I spoke to someone in the group tonight and this is the place he had in mind, but he will consult with others in the group.
    Thanks to all who replied.

    Right by LSU
Do NOT eat at Serranos. The only reason that place is still in business is because it has a great location. Mediocre food and service. Used to be great but has slacked off in recent years.

It has a while since this person visited so I will pass this along.

La Carretta, Mi Padres (the one on Bluebonnet, not Prairieville) and Casa Maria are all better than most of the stuff previously mentioned in this thread. All 3 are on Bluebonnet in South Baton Rouge.
