Looking for a New 10/22

I figured I would go get me a new Ruger 10/22.....HAHHAHAHA. I had no idea they got caught up in the gun craze. Anyway, if anybody sees one on a shelf somewhere please let me know. I tried the Academy's on the Northshore and they were all gone. Several of the online shops like Buds and Impact jacked up their prices, and I am not going to make a panic purchase.

I know for sure that Lafayette Shooters here in Lafayette, as of yesterday, had some in stock. They also have quite a few Smith and Wesson M&P 15-22's

Saw 2 at the Academy in Lafayette on Ambassador, and the one on Louisiana Avenue off I-10 had a lot of guns in stock, but I didn't notice if they had 10/22s or not. I only know the Lafayette store had 2 because a customer next to me was asking for one with wood and the counter-guy said they only had the 2 with synthetic.

The only ones I've been able to find are the ones with the full length stock for $319. I'm trying desperately to get my hands on a regular plain jane 10/22 to slap into a stock.

Here is what i got on Black Friday for $279 compared to an old 10-22 that has had maybe 300-500 rounds shot it it
It was cheap and my son is smaller in size and can not handle a larger 22lr gun i GRABBED A FEW 25 RND MAGS AT 25BUCKS

Check the prices on GBroker for BX-25[FONT=Arial, sans-serif] mags! They are topping $70 and upwards of $90 EACH!! Just friggen CRAZY!!![/FONT]

Buckfins and Feathers in Broussard had MP 15-22's and one or two 10-22's a few days ago. For list price, not inflated panic price.

Last I looked, Palmetto State Armory still has the black synthetic and so does grabagun.com

Try your local academy. I went looking for a 10/22 last week and they suggested the 795 as an alternative.

Makes me glad I bought 8 additional 10 shot magazines when they were on sale last year.
