looking for best tactical rifle for buck

alright people im looking to get a nice tactical rifle for cheap...
any suggestions and if you have that one why do you like it and have any problems?

I have heard great things about Smith and Wesson's M&P Sport. Same barrel and all the goodies but without dust cover. I believe they are priced around $600. Everything can be modified later. Kind of a budget carbine.

I thought an r700 sps was nice with a millet trs-1 then I saw mickeys gun made by ritten.
Then I shot mine, put it down and finished with Mickeys.. and didnt pick mine back up.. and called Ritten..

Just seeing some of the rifles Ritten has done on here I'd be hard pressed not to call him if I was in the market.

I'm sincerely honest in saying your best bet will probably be a Savage MkII FV. Then spend the rest of your budget on mounts, optics, and ammo.

Savage with a Leupold up top. Should be as durable and accurate as someone who wants a "nice, cheap tactical rifle" could ever hope to take advantage of.

Depends on what it is. I can't bring myself to spend 1k on a nice AK but....... I have my eye on a new S&B scope that is sporting a price tab over 3K.
Guess it is all what you are in to.
