Looking for self protection classes in the Lafayette area

I'm trying to find out what's available for personal protection classes in this area. I'm thinking of putting together a class and I'm interested both in possible resources for data and in not stepping on anyone's toes. This would be a non gun class and would probably stick to strictly awareness, legal issues, etc.
