Had one (mosquito) and loved it as long as I used CCI MiniMags. It didn't like cheap ammo but worked like a charm with the MiniMags. I wish I had kept it. lol
Even on the Sigforum they hate the Mosquito. Gun Tests found that the one they had would fire out of battery and stopped the test. The Sig in this case is garbage in my opinion. I should qualify that by saying I'm a Sig Sauer fan too. The Walther is in my opinion not a bad handgun overall. I guess you're only considering semi auto's?
I have a single action revolver that I love.
Im looking for a semi-automatic, but I dont care for the look of the buckmarks, and the S&W 41 is too much for a 22lr
Well I also have a Buckmark for close to twenty years now. Great gun. But if you don't like it you don't like it. CZ makes a Cadet in 22LR that gets great reviews. Of course Ruger makes high quality 22LR SA revolvers. But the Walther was the one you asked about. Gun Tests liked it. I have not shot one. It's small. Not a target or trail type gun but a quality piece from what I've read.
I have a Browning Buckmark. I'd go with either that or a Ruger. The triggers on P22 and Mosquitoes suck. P22 can be finicky on ammo, overall cheap gun.
You might want to check the WTB .22 LR thread I started in the Firearms Classifieds: http://www.bayoushooter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=40442
Lots of feedback there. Since I did not find the right .22 there, I will be buying one at Cabela's tomorrow. They won't say when the sale ends. Good luck.
