Lost Permit Replacement Turnaround

Anybody lose or a permit or have it stolen over the past couple years?

It happened to me once between 5 and 10 years ago. I walked into LSP with a police report and walked out with a permit.

New regulations state you MAIL the police report and/or affidavit to LSP Concealed Handgun Unit. I am shuddering, imagining a 45 day turnaround with the holidays and travel on the horizon.


Anybody experience or know of the turnaround time for a lost/stolen permit replacement over the past couple of years?

Definitely not writing from the point of morbid curiosity.

Yes, hence the concern about the holiday travel, etc.

I lost mine. Called the LSP Concealed Carry Permit department. They told me to write them an email explaining what happened. I did and had a new permit in the mail in about a week. Very simple.
