I have tickets for the LSU-Ole Miss game in October. Where is the best/safest place to park for the game? I am not familiar with the area but can read a map. Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

All of the lots in yellow are paid advance permit lots. the green lots are free first come, first serve. All permits are sold out. You might find someone selling one on Stub Hub. It is best to get there early, the earlier the better especially for big SEC games. Before 10 AM for a 7 PM game.

Then you can park at the new Alex Box stadium.

    Thanks,

Where are you going after the game? You need to park with that in mind. The Ole Miss game should be heavily attended and depending on if the game is at 2:30 of 6:00 it will be a cluster frick after the game. If you live North of BR or across the river I suggest North gates\Nicholson area. Lauberge is an option if you live south or Livingston area. You can sometimes find a parking pass for a single game on the Ticket Exchange over on TigerDroppings. I have a Pass for Lot 108 and its nice not having to get to campus 8 hrs before kickoff to find a spot.

    Paid lot.

The free lots are Purple, also, the @LSUSports twitter account normally tweets out when the public lots are full.

    When did that change?

Years ago, we used to park in the field by the Natatorium and Tennis courts, but they shut that down. Then I started parking at Alex Box and walking, but I haven't been in about two seasons.

Been like that as long as I can remember, close to 5 years I think.

I have reservations for the night at a hotel on Siegen Lane. I fully expect it to be a cluster ie: 2 hour trip to get to the hotel. Thanks for the information so far.

Park wherever you can on the south side of campus. That way, if you stay for the whole or majority of the game, you can take Nicholson>Bluebonnet>Burbank>Siegen OR Nicholson>Burbank>Siegen. I don't remember what streets get blocked off where but that's what I would do. And if you do stay for the whole game, just hangout on campus for an hour or so afterwards, otherwise you'll be sitting in your car for that same amount of time, if not more.

I have had good luck parking at University Car Care on Highland. $20 but they stay and watch your car until you leave. A bit of a hike from the stadium, but quick access to interstate after the game.

I always park at the Ag Overflow Lot off of Highland. It's a 10 minuteish walk to the stadium and very easy to get out of. (It's also free).
