Leave ya gat in da slang and that won't happen...

I prefer to unhook my holster from my belt and set it on a shelf, in my line of sight. Second choice is leaving it hooked up and just using the fabric of my shorts to cover it.

This is like the second nature call accidental CCW shooting in a month I have seen. Just more proof some people should not own handguns, nor carry them.

So this brings up the Question. What do you do with your CCW when you get the Call?

    It stays in the holster.

I try not to need more than a urinal when in a public restroom.
If I have to, I try to find a single hole or family restroom.
If not available, I look for one with walls to the floor.
That way the gun stays in holster, and the holster on the belt.

I have rarely been in a bathroom with a shelf. Sometimes the handicap stall has a baby changing table.

If I need a stall I'll remove it from the holster and set it in my shorts or on top of the toilet paper dispenser if stable or hang it on the coat hook if there are stalls on my gun side. Not so concerned with someone seeing it as I am of someone trying to take it.

So i carry appendix or 430 (depends on the day). To me that puts the firearm center of pants pretty much and can hide inside of pants. Seems to me there is no reason to remove from holster. Right there in front of you if you need it and pretty hard from someone else to reach. What would the benefits of removing from holster or removing the holster from pants be. Seems the negatives out-weight the pros?

Why remove the gun from the holster?

    What belt are y'all using?
I've got a super stuff belt, but when it's down around my ankles and not buckled up tight it just doesn't work the same.

I use a Aegis belt and correct it doesn't work the same unbuckled. But my gun stays holstered all the time even getting undressed in the evening and dressed in the morning.
