Gunnery Sergeant Brian Meyers ordered his team to snap a photo to keep morale high, even after he had just lost his hand and leg.

While Meyers was defusing an IED it detonated and took his right hand, right leg above the knee, and three fingers off of his left hand.

Immediately after the blast while he was still being worked on, 29 year old Meyers ordered Eric Lunson to take his picture. Forcing a smile and raising what would have been a thumbs up through the excruciating pain, Meyers stated that he wanted to be an inspiration to the rest of his squad to keep them in the fight.

Meyers has since retired from the Marines and continues medical treatment for his injuries.

Gunnery Sergeant Meyers, you are officially a BAMF!!!
