Marine's Open Letter to Diane Feinstein (The Hayride)

(http://goo.gl/zBR2d) This came in response to Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s proposal to ban “assault rifles” following the Newtown massacres, and it’s spot on. It was written by Josh Boston, a Marine veteran who served in Afghanistan from 2004-05. You’ve got to read it.

Senator Dianne Feinstein,

I will not register my weapons should this bill be passed, as I do not believe it is the government’s right to know what I own. Nor do I think it prudent to tell you what I own so that it may be taken from me by a group of people who enjoy armed protection yet decry me having the same a crime. You ma’am have overstepped a line that is not your domain. I am a Marine Corps Veteran of 8 years, and I will not have some woman who proclaims the evil of an inanimate object, yet carries one, tell me I may not have one.

I am not your subject. I am the man who keeps you free. I am not your servant. I am the person whom you serve. I am not your peasant. I am the flesh and blood of America.
I am the man who fought for my country. I am the man who learned. I am an American. You will not tell me that I must register my semi-automatic AR-15 because of the actions of some evil man.

I will not be disarmed to suit the fear that has been established by the media and your misinformation campaign against the American public.

We, the people, deserve better than you.

This letter is neat. But it's like an aspirin for a brain tumor. In the time you spent commenting on it and sharing it you could have emailed YOUR Senator; Mary Landrieu. Sen Landrieu will cast a key vote on this bill if it makes it out of commitee and onto the Senate Floor. Please stop doing meaningless things that feel good and start doing meaningful things that accomplish good. If you already emailed donut again, find someone else to email. If you've exhausted email right a letter. Be firm and respectful, explain to her that there is no gray area and you want her to vote NO at roll call.

Have been emailing reps and the president, I m sure all of us have, email other states that could swing the vote. look up addresses and names and send on their behalf. there is always a way to put more words out there. Don t say negative **** about how I said we could get more words out to more reps than ours in LA. Because you will be bitching if these bills go through, they are not playing fair riding the backs of dead children so we dont need to play fair either. Set up new email accounts and email other states yall, they wont know.......
