Marlin 336 in 35 Remington

Hey guys, I just got my father's day gift a Lil early. A 2004 jm stamped marlin 336 in 35 Remington. Looks identical to my old 30 30 I used to have. It came with scope mounts,so I mounted a Lil Simmons 4 x 32 scope. Now it looks like my old 3030. I been reading up on 35 rem it's balistically almost the same as 3030. Anyone have one,and where can I get ammo other than cabelas?

A statement and a question. U can get the 35 Renington at Academy sports. I have one like yours I bought in the 80's. What is the JM stamping and where is it and what is it.

JM = John Marlin. "JM" is roll stamped on the barrel where the barrel mounts to the receiver.

"What is the JM stamping and where is it and what is it."

A rifle with jm stamping meens John marlin as said, but it meens it was built at the marlin plant in North Haven, CT .in the 2010 year Remington moved marlin to the Remington plant.
