    Indeed. HK actually built a viable rifle using caseless ammo. It was too far ahead of its time, too radical in appearance, and the burrets were frightfully expensive to manufacture. No one bit, for those reasons.

    The "electronic ignition" isn't new either. The M-61 Vulcan rotary cannon has used it since the 60s.

    There is no doubt, however, that caseless ammunition is the wave of the future. This thing is more step in the evolution chain.

    I also remember it being a cause of NATO to why we dont have it on our smaller weapon systems now . Can u imagine if this would hit the streets for civilians . Good lord the cost of the ammo would be outragious , that and being that it is electronic , manipulating the trigger to go full auto seems like it could be done easily .
