    Have a model 60 that was bought by my brother in 1974 and handed down to me. No telling how many rounds have gone through it. Still very very accurate. Action/spring getting kind of worn out now. Another vote for the Crickett. No horror story here. Absolute tack driver. Wonderful little rifle. Could use a feed ramp though. Also a winchester Wildcat bolt .22 that I haven't shot a lot yet. Got it before the ammo crunch. I seems like an accurate one too.

    I believe the most underrated rimfire rifle is the CZ 452 and the Cricket youth guns. What do you think is the most underrated?

    Whichever one you find that comes with 5000 rounds of .22LR. :)

    I love my Marlin 39A, but I'd hardly call it underrated. I have a Henry H001 that's an accurate little lever action, as well. Shoots everything it's fed with no issues. Not as well-made as the Marlin- but it's a handy little rifle.

    I have to vote for the Marlin 60. I bought one brand new for $78 in 1980 and it has been with me ever since. It has seen many 10's of thousands of rounds through the years and a simple recoil spring and buffer change 8-10 years ago has kept it purring. It can hang up with ammo that's crap, but feed it any of the decent standard or high velocity stuff and it just runs and runs. It's still in amazing condition for all that it's been thru;

    I also like the little Henry I bought for my wife;

    I've shot it and it did fine, but I've never really tried to wring out what it's capable of. Not shootin' any .22's right now.

    Marlin 60 has been pushed aside by the Ruger 10/22 yet it consistantly displays better accuracy. The Savage Rascal is probably the best of the starter rifle class. It cocks on opening as opposed to pulling that knob back. That means my granddaughter can cock, load and fire by herself. I see a lot of kids waiting for dad to cock their Cricket, Henry, Chipmunk rifles. The accutrigger is a nice addition as well. She starts out learning to squeeze rather than tug and pull.

    The thing I really like about Ruger is their 10 shot flush mount mag. I looked at the CZ and other Savages (I have a Savage .17) and not having a mag hanging out 2 or 3 inches sure is nice.

    My next .22 will be the CZ with the full length Mannlicher stock. That is a fine looking gun.

    I've got old Mossbergs, both auto and bolt, An old Higgins, a Marlin Model 60 and a 10/22 but my very favorite is the Henry Golden Boy! It's a true tack driver and just feels right in your hands and on your shoulder.
    My 2 Cents Worth..
