So after spending hours watching videos on youtube, I came across the phillyedc channel and his different diy kydex holster tutorials. I decided to give it a try and started to gather my supplies. I built a kinda haggard press and used a cheap toaster oven for heat. I’m working on the second holster for my ruger sr22 (1st had major design flaw for attaching belt loops) and rushed through to make a dual mag pouch. I should have taken more time to get it symmetrical and edges sanded straight. But excitement and anticipation got the best of me. Here are some pics of my recent venture. I’ll be updating this as I progress. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

I still have to trim the holster and then retention will be adjusted once the halves are attached. It is pretty snug but the kydex flexes enough at the opening to draw and holster properly. I'm going to order some more kydex to practice with other thicknesses.

So it's been a while since I posted here, but I have bee practicing with the holsters and made a huge improvement. So far I have made 2 glock holsters, 1 Taurus pt-111, 1 ruger sr22, and am currently making one for my Taurus pt640 and trying a revolver. I also started making my own belt loops. The loops still need some tweaking and finish work, but it sure saves money making them instead of buying them. Here are some progress pics.
