I got to shoot mine today, shot very well, but definatley need to change the trigger pull, and get a thinner front sight. Did flip more than my CZ with 132 powerfactor loads but was very accurate. I will wring it out later when I'm feeling better and can concentrate on shooting. Eyes were a little blurry from meds and I wasn't comfortable, but the gun did shoot well if I concentrated on the trigger pull.

Did they lower the bore axis on this thing at all?

I've handled one, but honestly, I'm not familiar enough with XD's in general to be able to tell.

Darned if it doesn't feel amazing in the hand, though.

Its the same bottom end as all other XDm....I hear some guys are buying the 5.25 just for the top end and using another bottom ends from xdm 4.5 that have already springer/canyon river trigger jobs in them but personally, I think its a waste of money.

I need to try out the rental one a gun-ho to see if like it over my 4.5.

I want to shoot it, too. I've indexed it and swung it around and simulated mag changes and such, and it surely feels good. Not being a huge fan of XD, I was surprised by how much I liked the feel.

I handled Vigilante's and I agree. Very well balanced and just seemed to feel more "right" than the other XDms. IMO it's what the XDm should have been all along.

I was surprised by how much they cut out of the slide, it seemed like it weighed the same or even less than my old 4.5" XDm.

Ordered my trigger kit, .100 F/O sight and an extra mag today. Forgot to order the guide rod though. I'll put the trigger kit in and sight, and see how it feels, need to order an insert for my ransom rest and wring out the accuracy and see what bullet weight it prefers. It did shoot my 107 PF Bayou Bullet load very well with no issues. May be a great combo to shoot Nicks matches once the trigger is lightened and the sight is replaced.

Guys with the XDM 5.25, how did it feel with grip tape. I ask because, even though I have small hands, my support hand palm doesn't seem to have a lot of surface to grip.
