"A solicitation which appears on the FedBizOpps website asks for 16,000 rounds of .40 S&W jacketed hollow point (JHP) bullets, noted for their strength, to be delivered to locations in Ellsworth, Maine, and New Bedford, Mass.
A further 6,000 rounds of S&W JHP will be sent to Wall, New Jersey, with another 24,000 rounds of the same bullets heading to the weather station in St. Petersburg, Florida. The solicitation also asks for 500 paper targets to be delivered to the same locations in Maine, Massachusetts and New Jersey."

    1. Infowars:
2: "Large quantities of powerful ammo":

A few weather stations are getting a few thousand rounds of standard issue LE ammo and paper targets. It sounds like the coastal weather stations are setting up their guys to be able to defend themselves, I'm guessing during/after weather events.

Orrrrrrrr...maybe they are armed and ready to defend their weather control machines! :eek3:

Judging by some of their forecasting, there's always the chance they ordered the wrong caliber. :dogkeke:

The souce is the U.S. Federal government's database of federal government contracting opportunities.

Absolutely. I don't doubt they ordered ammo and targets. It's the spin infowars tries to put on it that I find hilarious. That's less ammo than your average small town police department orders annually. And "powerful ammo"? That sounds like something a liberal anti-2nd reported would call it. It's just standard issue law enforcement ammo.

Some BS members may have that much ammunition available.

I'm not opposed to this. So long as they get training and aren't going to abuse it.

If they line up on the firing line and all fire 10mm at once it could throw the earth off of its axis and the weather would really go crazy. That must be why it's .40 they are using.
