Nationwide gun buyback

I've read a few articles about gun buybacks and this seems to be something going up for debate. Sad thing is I know a lot of people who would go for this. In no way can I see criminals turning their guns in.

Here's a recent buyback in California. I don't see any "assault weapons".

Well you clearly don't see any "assault weapons" because California's assault weapons ban has proven to be so effective. All you have to do is outlaw them and they disappear!

That looks like it might be a sculpture made out of firearms. There's some 'artist' in CA doing that with these surrendered guns.

Could someone wait outside the police station and bid on some of the guns? If any thing nice came by I might offer more than the police would pay for it.
