Need a rifle barrel threaded, lafayette area.

Anyone know of a place to get a rifle barrel threaded around the Lafayette, la area. Not wanting to have to ship the firearm off.

PM jgreco or goetron they use a guy in Sunset I believe. Bayou has botched 2 thread jobs that I know of personally and heard of a third.

Granted, all bayou did for me was cut down a barrel and re-chamfer the muzzle, but I was impressed w/ quality of work. Rifle was dead on sighted in for 100 yds when I picked it up 3 days later.

Not threading a barrel, but I'd trust him to do it anyway.

He has a few guys working for him that might not be quite as educated when it comes to machining, which would account for the botch jobs, I guess.

Bayou Teche built a 6.5x284 on a remmy la for me and it shoots lights out. No problems to speak of, they are right there in arnaudville.
