If it is 40 S&W i have no 40 so. all kiddin aside.........

What the real problem is other ammo calibers will be set aside while all the 40 is made.
As an example 380acp is run once a year. So when that was depleted there was none.
I know that Win USA 380 was out so they did not set back up and just outsourced and the boxes said WIN. and were white .... and did not have USA on them
Just one example. 380 is now back on the shelf waiting for you, Saw a guy Sunday get a 380 Ruger fir his wife and get every box they had on the shelf. after he left thyey restoked it and was full again
When every new gun owner has a shelf full for the gun they may never shoot there will be ammo again

Lots of calibers are run once a year, and lots are simply made by one company and the head stamp is just changed out for the same loads...
