Need help with PVS-14

I have never owned any type of night vision device. Recently, I was offered a PVS-14. I have no idea what to look for in a good night vision device. If anyone could PM me with help, that would be great.

No night vision tube is the same they are all a little bit different... Which is why there is such a price deferential for PVS-14's. Find out the specs on the tube if they cant tell you id pass.

Loved mine I was issued. Sure beat those 7A's or whatever they were giving PVTs

Call TNVC, more combined night vision knowledge there than anywhere else I know. If the price is even remotely close to a new unit, I would just buy a warrantied unit from TNVC.

Another thing to consider is that night vision has a finite life. So if it is a heavily used unit you will eventually have to replace the tube which is the most expensive part. Only way I would buy used night vision is if it was from a really good buddy of mine and had an idea of how used it was.

Yup what they said, TNVC is the way to go for nightvision, I have one my self and use it for hog hunting and night shoots. Works great
