So, I start my day by locking myself out of the house and car, and need to get to work. I look around the backyard and front yard and see no way back in. while I'm sitting on my front step I notice a real shady looking dude across the street, going door to door and my mind says forget the house and car and watch this asshat.
He holds up his cellphone at every house and looks all around really slow and if someones home he starts rambling. He gets to the end of the block crosses and continues his less than kosher behavior, til he gets to me.......
I don't think I look intimidating or hardcore and I was completely squated down so my 6'4" frame isn't a factor, and he sees me looking at him and gets really nervous, puts up his hands and says "Don't shoot man,(Who the hell says that kind of thing in Illinois?) I just wanna say hi". He aproaches me and starts in about how he's going door to door for school to overcome his fear of public speaking so he can go to London England, it goes on like this;
Me, "Where are you from?"
AH, "Sarkis" (A diner down the street.)
Me, "No, I mean where do you go to school?"
AH, " Consanta College, its in California"
Me, "And your here going door to door? Its a long way from home."
AH, "My Parents live down the street at 2401." (half a mile in the wrong direction.)
Me, "Which street?"
AH, "By Sarkis" (Wrong way.)
Me, "Why were you taking pictures of every house you went to?"
AH, "What do you mean? I wasn't."
Me, "I watched you for the last fifteen minutes."
AH, "I was just checking the time.(at this point he got defensive.) You wanna check my phone?"
He goes into his pocket, I put my hand on mine, He pulls out one phone and puts it in another pocket then he pulls out a second phone and holds it toward me. I put my palm up and say,"Forget your phones, if your in college you should have an ID on you, don't bother showing me you can show the cop I called."
He says "I'm done talking to you" and moves to the next house.
I was bluffing because, as I said before, I locked my dumbass out of the house and had nothing on me, so I ran to a neighbor who's usually home and got him to call the police. I went back to breaking into my house. no sooner did I get in then my neighbor rings the doorbell and says we have to find where this guy is for the cops, so we get into his GMC and look all over the neighborhood for this guy, find him, call the police and inform them where he's at, wait in a parking lot for them, point him out, wait for the officer to put him in the back of his patrol car, then when the officer asks us who called, my neighbor points to me and the officer takes all of my information and a statement.
I don't mind being involved but it reminded me of a friend who had to go to court to identify a gypsy(and this guy reeked of gypsy in a stolen gun case and having to give his full name address and phone number in court with the whole Gypsy Nation, who now know where he lives, sitting in rows giving him the evil eye.
Should I be worried?
