Looks to be traditional tube loading.

It loads like their 22's. Pull the mag plunger out from the end and drop the rounds down

Welcome to the world of lever action , I have a marlin 4570 and I love it, I also reload the 45-70 , you can reload it very differently from the factory rounds, I hunt deer with mine, enjoy your rifle they used to hunt Bufflow in the 1800's with this round...it will drop a deer in its tracks

I paid around 800 for my marlin in stainless and laminate with peep sights.

I'm a huge fan of those cowboy action guns. I was so close to grabbing a .450 marlin lever action myself. I do regret not act'n a lil sooner. The 45-70govt .444 marlin and the .450marlin would be the loads I would go with in a lever action. Perfect for hog hunting!
