I am making a new food plot and I am looking at two different disc tillers to buy. One is the Groundhog Max that you hook to your hitch and the down force of your ATV puts weight on the plowing discs and the other is the King Kutter 8 disc pull behind disc harrow. Does anyone know anything about these two items and how well they work? I am worried that the down force on the Groundhog will put too much weight on my hitch and cause wear on my ATV, but it looks so much easier than using the King Kutter.

By the way, you can check it out at www.atvplowsplus.com and let me know what you think about it. There are some video's of it in action. I have not heard much about this product and I need to get something this week to start my plot.

Pretty slick idea. If your hitch is stout enough, it shouldn't put too much strain on the ATV, just unload the back tires some. I'd think you'd have to have a 4WD ATV or you wouldn't have enought traction. I think the side loads are going to play hell with the bearings in the groundhog before long, but who knows. I do know that light weight atv discs don't cut very well.

I ended up going with the Ground Hog Max. I am SOLD!!! This thing works incredible! The only thing that you have to watch out for is going across deep ruts. I did this and it ended up pulling the darn thing out of it's assembly. I lost one of the pins and had to use a ratchet to stick in there so I could finish the work. It was pretty easy to till through all of the heavy brush and I did it without any help.

Really good product but like Trick said... I don't know if it puts a lot of wear on your ATV. You do have to have 4wheel drive. I plowed with out any problems and I have a little Polaris 450 and I onl plowed a small shooting lane (.5 acre).
