Thank you for your appreciation!
Came out of it with a pretty severe case of PTSD due to my participation in fighting fire as the result of an A6-B crash on the flightdeck of the Nimitz in May of 1981 which killed 14 of us during the effort because of 4 air to air missiles cooking off in the flames....my dumb ass ran toward the fire to do my duty. I walked away with relatively minor injuries by the grace of God after watching folks bleed out because I couldn't stop doing my job to help them. It still haunts me... (designed to take a 60,000 lb aircraft out of the sky they made hellacious antipersonnel weapons. I was terrified but ya gotta do what ya gotta do eh? ;-)) ...Even knowing what I know now I'd do it all over again! Love this country, but fear and loath where she's going :-(
Welcome and thank you for your service and that was one hell of a fire watched it three different times for fire fighting certs, glad you mad it.
