Hey guys! We have been working to upgrade our website and are at the phase where we need your help! We are asking that you take a look at the new site to test out ease of use, functionality, appearance, etc. The site IS NOT live so you cant purchase anything from it directly but the inventory part is live and up to date.

    http://richiespng.outerbox.net/

All we ask that is that you post your opinions and suggestions below. If something doesnt work, let us know. If you really like something, let us know that too. The company that is building the site will also have a link to this post and we can use your input to make the site better for you guys. We will randomly pick a post below just before the launch and offer a $50 store credit. We appreciate your opinions and thank you for all your support.

I went and looked, awesome design. But, most everything I went to didn't work or was too fast to make selections on drop downs.

    Pros:
-The Crosshair for a pointer, maybe make a little bigger...
-design and eventually ease of use

    Cons:
-The first thing I wanted to look at and read was the top of the page website and nothing had information or worked.
-About, FAQ, History, and Contacts had nothing to review or didn't work and that's where I go on new websites first.
-The next thing I went to was Special Orders, nothing there.
-Maybe make create account, log in page a little darker so one can see better. The bright blue on create account is hard to pick up.
-All the drop downs were so fast dropping down and coming back up, you couldn't make a selection.

I know your asking for feedback and still creating, but these are my 2 cents, maybe they count. HA

Lovely design on the website, it looks like it will be a great success.

-I always like dark backgrounds. It's easy on the eyes and allows for advertisements and features to better stand out.

    -Seen lots of this though>

    :dunno:

    Section pages
    - I like the way the ammo is broke down but I also like the way other sites have the option to search by Caliber.
    - I also like to have the option of viewing 25 to 100 products at a time, instead of having to go page by page by page.
Or a View All Option is nice too. usually when I'm shopping I'm not on my phone so I like to open up all products available.

I think it looks good though. Options are all there, nothing too small to see. Facebook/Credit Cards, Contact Info, Site Map, all there and easy to find. I like it!

Forgot to say, yeah its going to be slow as it's on the test server. Once we go live it should speed up quite a bit.

Not sure why the menu is going down then up right away. Wasnt doing that earlier (maybe they are working on it?). I'll forward that on as well.

Thanks again for taking the time to look at it guys!

Just a quick visit found this:

In Camping & Apparel > Apparel or Camping > Apparel > There is camping accessories there mixed with apparel?!?

And as HM already mentioned, try to fill those "No Images" as soon as you can.

    Random notes
I love the graphics on the main page, well done whoever you hired to set that up. Looks very very pro.
The font on the links under "Our Products" is fuzzy. Not sure if it's the font being used or some kind of code you guys are using but it makes it hard to read.
It looks even worse on the Apr 02 under the blog. It's like the font isn't being antialiased so you can see a bunch of jagged edges making it hard on the eyes.
The dark blue text on Advanced Search is hard to read with the background, I had to highlight it to see what it actually said. Perhaps make it white like other links.
There's no apostraphe in your RICHIESPNG graphic in the upper left, maybe not a big deal but I imagine you'd want your logo to match your actual name :p
The social media links don't go anywhere right now, they just redirect back to the page you're already looking at. The credit card links on the main page don't go anywhere same as the social media links.
You should change the Copyright date to 2013 at the bottom ;)
The code for the email newsletter is bad. If you enter "test" for your name and "test" for your email, it pops up a box that says [object Object] instead of a message saying "Please enter a valid email account". The same error pops up if you don't put anything and hit Join Now.
The graphic in the middle that says "+SHOP NOW" is not clickable. I'd imagine you want that to be a link to go to the bow store?
The subpages (About, FAQS, CONTACT, HISTORY, etc) have big blank boxes above the actual text. You have to scroll down to actually see the heading of the subpage you clicked on.
The text on the Signup/Login page is too dark with the background. It's black/dark blue making it near impossible to read without highlighting first.
The crosshair mouse cursor is annoying as hell. That's just a personal preference though. That kind of crap belongs on myspace not a business website IMO.
The font on the product page that says "OUR PRICE" and "SHARE THIS" and "MORE INFORMATION" etc are very strange looking and hard to read.
When I click some of the categories such as Archery, a submenu appears and then immediately disappears. Bad code I'm guessing in the animation.

I can go on but working, just figured I'd share a little :) Looks great, just lots of minor tweaks are needed man.

Only had a minute to play around but, overall VERY nice design and layout. I did notice the same dropdown issue where it popped back up immediately. I'm sure that will be fixed so really a non-issue.

Not a fan of the crosshair pointer. Custom cursors are pretty taboo at this point, and it's not consistent with most links still being the standard finger cursor and products being the crosshair. Don't underestimate the ability of people to be easily confused. Also there are times when it turns to a crosshair but doesn't perform the action, such as clicking on the text for a product (between the picture and the "VIEW NOW" button.

The "Advanced Search" link is virtually unreadable.

The main navigation doesn't seem to have rhyme or reason. Should be ordered more logically, such as:
    HANDGUNS / LONG GUNS / AMMO / ACCESSORIES / OPTICS / ARCHERY / HUNTING & OUTDOOR GEAR / CAMPING & APPAREL / KNIVES

Also the "Our Products" at the bottom does not match the primary navigation. It's missing Long Guns, Archery...and has an additional Storage category not found up top.

In Firefox the email newsletter signup formatting is busted.

Since all of the action buttons and links are red, that color should be exclusive to those and the "free shipping" bubble at the top should be a different color.

All very minor points...the site looks great man.

IMO, this menu bar doesn't flow well. Related Categories (ie firearms) aren't next to eachother.

    Maybe try:

Obviously, arrange to the priority you want each to have in your overall business structure.

The facebook, twitter, google+ links at the top do not presently work. They should be clickable and direct the user to each of your respective pages (likely, this is in the works and just doesn't have that functionality).

If you click on "SIGN-IN," the page it takes you to is almost unreadable. They've set the text color to black on a very dark background. Also, the username and password boxes are too long.

In the "About" page, your about information is located to low in the window. They should be able to bring that up to the top of the white window. Same for "Contact" and "History." they may just be placeholders at the time. If so, disregard.

All-in-all it looks very good. Better than your last one :)

I don't like how your cursor turns to a cross-hair on the items pages. Maybe have the option for that to go away?
